Math and Science Learning

Hello 9-1 and 9-2 and Business classes. Here's the plan for this week. Math 9 Students will learn the measures of central tendency: mean, median and the mode. Then, start doing the research project. Science 9 Students will study about DNA, Punnett square and the probability of inheriting a trait. DNA fingerprinting experiment will be on Wednesday. Business 8/9 Students should submit their resumes at rebatalon@educbe.ca until this week. Upcoming topic: Price, Sales, Discount and Percent

Hello 9-1 and 9-2 and Business classes. Here's the plan for this week. Math 9 Students will learn the basics of Statistics and Probability. This will include data collection, sampling technique and conducting a survey. Science 9 Students will study about DNA, cell division and patterns of inheritance. We are going to conduct an experiment about strawberry DNA (Tuesday). Business 8/9 Students will learn about resume writing, creating logo and slogan. Math 9 We will have a review for the following topics:      * Operations of signed numbers      * PEMDAS rule      * Operations involving fractions, decimals and percent      * Solving problems Upcoming unit test on Thursday Science 9 Students will study about DNA, cell division and patterns of inheritance. Students need to complete worksheet #2. This is due Friday, Sept 13th. Business 8/9 Students will do an online self-assessment test (Alberta works site). They will assess their strengths and abilities towards a possible job opportunities.
