Math and Science Learning

Hello 9-1 and 9-2 and Gardening classes. Here's the plan for this week. Math 9  Students will study about Linear Inequalities. Note: Every Monday, math discussions will cover probability. Science 9  Students will study about types of chemical reactions. This will include balancing chemical equations, percentage compositions, and the application of the laws of conservation of mass, definite proportions and multiple proportions. Agriculture 8/9 Students will begin understanding the many benefits of having a garden. We will also discuss the different tools used in gardening.         Gardening Outline

Hello 9-1 and 9-2 and Business classes. Here's the plan for this week. Math 9  Students will study about scale factors and similarity. Specifically, students will study about reduction and enlargement, scale diagram, similar triangles and similar polygons. Problem solving about similarity of polygons using their perimeters and areas. For Practice:  Triangle Practice Science 9  Students will study about Exploring Matter. This will include classifying matter as solid, liquid or gas; and as pure substances or mixtures. We will also discuss about the properties of matter and the phase changes it undergoes.  Upcoming quiz Thursday Nov. 28th.
